Antonia

I’m not going to lie, when I created this blog in 2011 I didn’t think it would be what it is today. At that time I had just overcome an eating disorder {read more in my original about page} and thought I could blog about health, my workouts and food. However, over the years it has turned into so much more.

I quickly realized that I didn’t want to be confronted with my eating disorder every single day, so I focused on creating healthy recipes instead. Over time the recipe have evolved into more indulgent treats like this or this. But I do generally make an effort to eat as healthily as possible. I love photography {especially food photography} and styling food.  All of the pictures you see here are my own {unless of course, stated otherwise}.

This blog is a reflection of myself. I’m a foodie and nothing makes me happier than creating a big meal for family or friends. Nonetheless, I believe it’s important to stay true to myself and to write about other things which I care about which include workouts and races, traveling or beauty.

Most of  the time my life really isn’t that exciting, but on the very odd occasion I might actually do something fun that’s worth sharing with you. Sometimes I’ll write about restaurants or events I’ve attended. On other days, I’ll write about my favorite books, lifestyle or home decor.

Here’s some more facts about me….

I hope you stick around for a bit and that you enjoy your time here! Also,  feel free to come say hi over on facebook, twitter, instagram, and bloglovin’.

I’ll talk to you soon,

Just stopped by from Oh She Glows…so glad I noticed your comment. You have a beautiful space (with amazing photos!). And your story is very inspirational…thank you for being so honest here.

Also so excited that you are in Austria! I studied German as an undergrad, and I love anything that keeps me connected to it. =)

Thanks Clair! I love getting comments like that. I will try to add a couple of Austrian recipes in the future and I’ll actually be moving to Germany in July to work there for a year, so hopefully I’ll get to add a couple of German treats as well 😉 I’m glad you left a comment so I could find your blog…looks great. Can’t wait to read more!

You fix your metabolsim by eating (more than you think you need). You fix your metabolsim and prevent clinging to stubborn fat or being amenhorreic by eating (more than you think you need).

Take care. And don’t feel guilty or ashamed for that stuff. Its all normal and doesn’t make me wrong or bad.

    • Reply Antonia July 5, 2012 at 8:54 pm

  • Reply Antonia July 5, 2012 at 9:01 pm

Ja google+ ist was anderes.

Hi Antonia! I just found your blog when making one of your recipes and I absolutely love it. I’m American (by way of several years in Munich) and love your story. If you have any healthy German recipes that you’ve created, I would love to try them out (and prove to my friends that German food is, in fact, delicious!).

    MJ

I’m not sure if there are that many healthy german recipes out there 😉 I’ve realized that the Bavarian cuisine is very similar to what people traditionally make in Austria. I do have a couple of Austrian recipes on the blog but just realized when I looked over my recipe index that I don’t actually have a separate category for Austrian recipes (I’ll change that though).
But some of my favorites are Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad, Apple Strudel and Topfenknödel. They’re all on the “indulgent spectrum”, but sooo worth indulging for 🙂

I’m so glad you found my blog!

Hello dear! Just found you through the interwebs and I am smitten! (It helps that my first experience with Health Inspirations involved grilled halloumi, which is is like the sleeper cheese, in my opinion. Such a knockout and just waiting to be discovered!) Look forward to seeing more from ya! xo – Em
