Graduation Weekend 1.0

July 10, 2014

Last weekend was a very special one for my family as it was my sister’s graduation. More than a year after submitting her thesis, she officially became Dr. Christina on Friday. I’m so incredibly proud of her and all her achievements and she keeps inspiring me to be just as hard of a worker.

Another exciting reason why the weekend was so special to me, is that it was one of those rare weekends where the whole family got together. The fact that our little reunion happened to be in London made it all the more special. Mo and I flew in from Munich after work on Thursday and met up with Alex and Christina for drinks and dinner at the South Bank. Friday was filled with celebrating, eating, more celebrating and my favorite musical (hint: “hakuna matata”). Unfortunately, Alex had to fly to Italy for a friend’s wedding that evening so he could only join for a part of the festivities, but it was nonetheless nice to be together, while it lasted.

Our trip concluded with a family shopping session on Saturday, from which I have yet to recover.

Because I’m currently working on improving my editing & video making skills, I decided to film the whole shindig and share the highlights with you all. If you like, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel. There’s not a lot to see yet (I’ve only posted 10 videos so far), but I’m currently working on a few new recipe videos and from time to time I’ll be posting personal and lifestyle videos.

I don’t mean to leave you with a cliffhanger but Graduation Weekend 2.0 will be posted soon. I wonder who’s graduating next….If you really can’t wait to find out, you can follow me on instagram and facebook.
