What’s been on my mind this week…

  1. I’m so happy that it’s finally sunny. The weather has been terrible and if it continues to be like this for much longer, I might seriously consider flying home for a long weekend. At least there’s snow in Austria! Here in the UK it’s been pouring rain all week. It’s windy and my room’s cold. Spring, I think it’s safe to say that we’re ready for you.
  2. How is it February already? It’s scary how quickly time flies.
  3. I’ve discovered that I am getting lots of work done at night. For someone who prefers to go to bed at 10.30pm I’ve been  having surprisingly long and productive nights of essay writing. It’s unusual, but I’m getting so much work done!
  4. I met a friend in London on Sunday and arrived a bit early so I could do some shopping at Whole Foods. I picked up some smoothies I hadn’t tried before and delicious chocolate almond milk from The Living Food Kitchen. There’s lots of good stuff on the shelves these days.
  5. This week I’ve spent every free minute in the kitchen cooking or taking picture. Expect to see lots of recipes this month {I just haven’t gotten round to typing them all up and some may require re-testing} and also some beauty and décor-related posts thrown in. On Tuesday I spent the entire morning taking and editing pictures and kind of panicked when I realized that it was lunch time already and I had spent that much time on blog work.
  6. Water with freshly squeezed lemon has become my new favorite drink. I’ve been buying lemons in bulk and add the juice from one lemon to my water bottle. So delicious!
  7. I was close to ordering a waffle iron yesterday {I haven’t allowed myself to buy one cause I’m trying really hard not to spend money on things I don’t really need}. Then I read Laurie’s post where she shared the recipe for Cinnamon and Sugar Crusted French Toast {which I’m having from breakfast tomorrow!}, which made me remember that I can have a delicious breakfast even sans waffle iron.
  8. Weekend breakfasts are what I look forward to all week. This is what I had today.

Happy Weekend!

I remember Lemon Water was already your favourites for the “coffee” breaks in Munich 😉
