Morning! Hope you are all well?! I’m very well and glad that it’s Wednesday already. I’m loving my weekends in Munich and can’t wait for the next one to begin. Speaking of which, here’s what I ate last weekend.
On Saturday my flat mate and I decided to go swimming in the morning {10am} so I tried not to have something that would weigh me down {literally} too much. A green smoothie seemed like a sensible choice, especially since I don’t have time in the morning during the week to make one. I added a banana, one apple and frozen kale and poured in enough soy milk to get everything moving.
By the time we got back it was already noon and I was starving so I immediately had a banana dunked in cashew butter. This tied me over for an hour or so, so I did my grocery shopping next. Once I got home I threw together a salad and re-heated left-over calzone from Friday nights dinner {the interns at work all went out to have Italian food}.
I spent the afternoon in town running some errands, drinking coffee and just enjoying Munich. I still love it here. A lot!
For dinner I wasn’t that hungry so I had cheese and bread. Not that fancy and that’s probably also why I almost forgot to take pictures…almost!
The next morning I woke up at around 8.15am and made myself a batch of blueberry-spelt pancakes which I topped with banana and cashew butter. I had coffee on the side.
Yummy!
I spent most of the day baking up a storm. I baked 4 different kinds of cakes to bring into work. In between all the baking I squeezed in a run since it was actually kind of a nice day out. As a late lunch and then dinner {leftovers
} I had a mixture of wheat berries with lentils and vegetables.
As you can see it was a very low-key weekend, but those are good every once in a while!
Thank you Jenn for hosting the weekly party!
Have a very happy WIAW!!!!

Happy WIAW! Just bread and cheese for dinner sounds great to me.

Holey Moley! Those pancakes… wow, drooling!!
Mmmh, I like wheatberries a lot and your combination looks fantastic!
Haha, I used to be the one bringing in cakes and cookies for my colleagues during my internship, too. How long will you be interning for Kraft Foods?
