a party for the soul

May 17, 2012

First of all thank you for all your comments yesterday! It’s always nice to have new people visit my blog and when I get positive feedback and beautiful comments it makes me more than happy.

I had another exam today and while I was studying last night I saw this on twitter:

If you’re wondering what I was doing on twitter even though I was supposed to be studying, I’m asking my myself the same question. The exam went well though and I only have 1 more to go! Anyway, I just wanted to say a BIG thank you to all of you, my dear readers, for being such great supporters! And because a simple thank you is not enough to express my feelings I will host my first ever giveaway very soon. I’ve been waiting to announce a giveaway for quite some time but didn’t want it to be just any product. I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!

So for the last 2 weeks I’ve been looking forward to this afternoon. I haven’t really been doing anything else other than sit at my desk, stare at my books and read my notes for the last month and I told myself that I would give myself this afternoon off to do nothing at all.

On my list of activities were:

  • gym
  • celebratory lunch
  • power nap
  • frozen yogurt
  • shopping
  • groceries

Sounds fun, doesn’t it. I’m sure I’m the only person who considers this a party for the soul, but it was just what I needed!

My exam was over at 10:30am and I went straight to the gym from there. After that I got home and threw together lunch that the oven made for me while I showered.

On the plate was a selection of some of my favorites: oven roasted bell pepper, tomatoes and eggs florentine with toast for dipping.

My power nap didn’t really happen. Either I wasn’t really that tired or I was far to excited about the frozen yogurt.

I always get really jealous when I read about some bloggers going out for frozen yogurt and then choosing flavors like peanut butter with all these awesome toppings. I guess I have to be happy that we have frozen yogurt at all but the most exciting flavor they offer at the store here is passion fruit so I went with that. Topped it with strawberries and chocolate seeds.

Before heading home from my shopping adventure I stopped at the grocery store where I found this (insert drum-roll!):

Coconut Water! I was so excited to see that they finally sell coconut water in my neck of the woods! But £ 3.49? REALLY? Is that not a tad overpriced? They might have an offer on it one day so I’ll have to stock up then!

And that’s how I partied! Fascinating, right?

I also remembered that I promised you the recipe from yesterday’s Spinach Stuffed Turkey Rolls. As with all my recipes, consider this a guideline and feel free to throw in or omit anything you like. Report back with any adaptions!

I almost ate a tooth pick so if you’re serving this to younger children or adults like me, you might want to warn them beforehand!

Don’t forget to check back for an AWESOME giveaway very soon. I can’t wait to tell you guys what it is 🙂

Haha, I blushed a little seeing my tweet posted above! It’s true though, I love discovering new and exciting blogs, and love adding them to my bookmarks. I wish that we could get vegan fro-yo, that would be fun x

Hope that was OK. Didn’t want to include names out of privacy reasons but it was really nice that you tweeted about me. Thanks! And yes, vegan fro-yo would be amazing!
