WIAW: fighting a concentration-low!

Hello and welcome to another round of WIAW. Wednesdays are rapidly becoming one of my favorite days since I get to share my eats with you and better yet, I get to see what you guys eat all day long. There’s not much else to report since I’m trying to focus on studying for exams. So let’s get right started. A huge thanks to Jenn for hosting the weekly party.

My breakfasts this week all looked quite similar as I’ve always been having a variation of overnight oats. Since by the time I come down to have breakfast at around 7am my family has already left to go to school/ work I like spending the time checking blogs and emails and catching up on news/ celebrity gossip. And to save as much time as possible in the mornings overnight oats are a winner!

I combined 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup milk, 3 tbsp. yoghurt, 2 tbsp. cottage cheese, lots of cinnamon, 1/2 banana, strawberries and blueberries and let it rest in the fridge overnight. In the morning I added homemade granola, another round of berries and desiccated coconut. On the side, strawberry black tea.

I had lots on my to-study list and worked through most of the morning. I scheduled a run for noon so I had a pre-workout snack: energy balls I made using this recipe.

After my run and a shower it was time for lunch. I didn’t have a clue what to make so I basically used lots of random things lying around in the kitchen/ fridge and created a bright lunch platter. 2 slices of bread topped with 1/4 smashed avocado, a slice of cheese and on the side some grapes and an orange.

And a bottle of H2O! My favorite beverage.

I wanted to spend the afternoon studying, but fact is I’m most productive in the mornings. As soon as my brother comes home from school my concentration is practically gone but today I had a difficulty to focus for most of the afternoon. Therefore I snacked…a lot.

Dessert: Yoghurt with granola and a piece of dark orange-chocolate.


Pink Lady: because I was still hungry!

For dinner we had wraps which is my brothers favorite food. Before he sat down to have dinner he changed into his stretchy pants (his words, not mine)! He really devours every bite and licks his fingers and plate to make sure there are absolutely no leftovers. I totally understand him, wraps are delicious and I wish I had them more often.

And that’s it. It was once again a food filled day and now I’m off to check out your eats.

    I love your pics Antonia! And I am SO glad I just found your blog! I’ve just popped your energy balls on my recipe ‘must-try’ list – definitely keen to make them. I am most productive in the mornings when it comes to study too, afternoon distractions = more snacking! Keen to try your recipe for granola/granola cups too.. yum 🙂

    Oh wow. Your breakfast looks absolutely fantastic! I’m actually planning on making that very breakfast tomorrow – you just inspired me! And wraps – easily one of my favourite foods too. Yours look fantastic – you take absolutely beautiful pictures!

    I have to study for exams, too! I wish I had more free time, but sadly I dont. 🙁 At least it’s almost Summer! 🙂

    Love your pictures! Big fan of overnight oats when the weather gets warmer and also like how there is no prep in the morning, except more fruit and nut butter. Happy WIAW! 🙂

    I love pink ladies, too. They’re on of my go-to snacks because they always seem to squash my “munchies” and hold me over until dinner. I admire that you can study well in the morning. I’m definitely a late-night studier. I love the peace and quiet!
