The best thing about being a blogger is constantly finding new blogs. Whenever I seem to have found a new favorite blog, I am just a few clicks away from finding another great and inspiring blog that includes creative recipes and amazing photography. Check out the list of my currently favorite blogs.
The other day, I found Family Fresh Cooking and I can’t believe it took me this long to find Marla’s great site. I immediately fell in love her beautiful photography and thoughtful food styling methods and let’s not forget the mouthwatering recipes. After reading a little bit about Marla and her amazing health philosophy and mission to provide her family with fresh, high quality whole foods I couldn’t wait to go through each and everyone of her recipes (I’m not quite through yet because I’ve been surprisingly busy at Uni).
Earlier this week Marla posted an amazing recipe (Blueberry-Coconut Baked Steel Cut Oats) which was the inspiration for my morning oatmeal. Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time this morning to go through the whole baking procedure so I just followed my usual oatmeal recipe, but added lots of fresh blueberries (instead of the usual banana) and topped it off with a generous sprinkle of coconut. I will try Marla’s original recipe very soon though!
The oatmeal consisted of 1/3 cup oats, 1/3 cup almond milk, 1/3 cup water and lots if blueberries and was sweetened with honey. As per usual I also added flax seeds and chia seeds to add more nutrients.
Please let me know if there are other cool blog you think I’d like or that would look good on my list. I love exploring new blogs!
